My Grandaughter adopted a little pup whose momma was killed by a car.

It was found by another vendor at the Hubbard Flea Market and she could not keep it - so Amanda kept it.

John Goodwin from the Youngstown Vindicator wrote up a very nice story about the whole thing and it made the front page and 2 other pages too !

For anyone nearby to Hubbard, Ohio - here is the information on the local flea market (open 3 days a week) and auction facilty (open 2 days a week):

Public Auction in Hubbard, Ohio

Fridays at 6pm

These auctions feature many estate items like household items; vintage jewelry; furniture; equipment; tools; kitchen items; and many misc. items including box lots which are my favorites because sometimes you find the best treasures in those boxes - LOL

* Also some brand new items too.
* There is fresh produce and mini cakes...
* Get grab bags at $3.00 each or get two for $5.00. Each one is full of goodies AND has a ticket attached to the bags. A few tickets are pulled and if yours matches one of the numbers, you win a prize too. (Sometimes the grab bags are extra special and may cost a little more, but this is rare.)
* AND, don't forget to buy your 50-50 tickets to see if you can win half of what we take in. They are $1.00 a ticket or 6 tickets for $5.00.

A few of the winners asked if they could pick up their prize next weekend because they were going to be out of town this week.

We decided to give them another week, but after that we will draw other names for any unclaimed prizes.

So, we will ask the Hubbard newspapers to post the list of prizes that the winners got next week.

I have decided not to try and list the names here as some folks did not want names given out for whatever reason.

At 11:00am there will be an auction at the Hubbard Flea Market.

There is a big variety of restaurant fixtures, boothes, cookware, grills... and there is also a nice selection of  furniture, bookcases, antiques, and there are about 50 bikes from which to choose.

The auction is on the left wing of the flea market building, the flea market is on the right side of the building and the snack bar is in between.

Many of the vendors at the Hubbard Flea Market have donated a prize or 2 for the Door Prize/Drawing in mid December.

Watch News Channel 27 at 6pm to see the official Ribbon Cutting celebrating the opening of the Hubbard Flea market.

The event took place at 10am this morning with the owners and Amanda taking part.

There was a cameraman from Channel 27 there videotaping the celebration and he took videos of many of the booths.

Several people took photos and I will have some put on this site when I get the chance.
